What this policy covers: This policy explains what personal information we collect when you use the Site, how we use it, when we share it, and your choices. It applies to all visitors and users of the Site. If we make material changes, we’ll update the Effective date and post a summary of changes.

Information we collect

(1) Information you provide to us

  • Contact details and submissions you send via forms (e.g., name, email, phone, messages), event registrations, volunteer interest, or donation-related pages.
  • Preferences you share (e.g., communication choices).
  • Any other information you choose to provide.

(2)Information collected automatically

We and our service providers automatically collect certain technical information when you use the Site, including:

  • Usage data: pages viewed, links clicked, scroll depth, time on page, navigation paths, referring/exit pages, search terms, and error logs.
  • Device and browser data: IP address, device type, operating system, browser type/version, screen resolution, language, and approximate location (derived from IP).
  • Cookies and similar technologies: identifiers that help recognize your browser, remember settings, and analyze site performance.
  • Session replay and analytics (Microsoft Clarity) We currently use Microsoft Clarity to help us understand how the Site is used and to improve usability. Clarity may record anonymized or pseudonymized interactions such as page views, clicks, scrolls, and basic interactions with page elements. It may also capture on-page events like form interactions; fields designated as sensitive are masked by default. Clarity collects standard technical data such as IP address and device/browser information. We do not use Clarity to identify you personally, and we do not merge Clarity data with information that directly identifies you unless you submit your information through a form and we have a specific operational need to do so (for example, to debug a support request).
  • You can control cookies and tracking through your browser settings and privacy tools. If you block or delete cookies, some analytics features may not function.

  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.

Legal bases for processing (for visitors in the EEA/UK) Where applicable, we rely on:

  • Legitimate interests (site operation, security, analytics, improvements).
  • Consent (where required for non-essential cookies/technologies).
  • Legal obligations (recordkeeping, compliance).

When we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with:

  • Service providers acting on our behalf (e.g., website hosting, analytics providers like Microsoft Clarity), bound by contractual confidentiality and data protection obligations.
  • Authorities, regulators, or others if required by law or to protect rights, safety, or security.
  • Successor organizations in connection with a reorganization consistent with this policy.

Data retention

We retain personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes described above, including to comply with legal, accounting, or reporting requirements. Retention periods may vary by data type and use.

Our service providers may process information in countries other than where you are located. Where required, we implement appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers.

Do Not Track and global privacy controls

Your browser may offer Do Not Track (DNT) or global privacy controls. Our Site’s response to these signals may vary based on the technologies in use and applicable law. You can still use the browser- and device-level controls described above to manage cookies and tracking.
