SUMMARY:Vegan Recipe Club: The Vegan Creamery
DESCRIPTION:If you are curious about vegan cooking\, this club is for you! Each month\, participants make three recipes from popular cookbooks\, then share their reflections with the group. Novice to expert cooks are welcome\, as are interested non-cooks. Registration for the online meeting is not required—get login information below. \nDownload the recipes here (link coming)\nAbout The Vegan Creamery by Miyoko Schinner (2025)\nFrom the author’s website: \nA delectable collection of over 75 plant-based recipes for vegan butters\, creams\, cheeses\, desserts\, and more\, from the award-winning chef and bestselling author of Artisan Vegan Cheese. \nImagine enjoying a batch of fresh strawberry ice cream on a hot summer day. It tastes just as delicious as the beloved classic\, but at its creamy core it’s actually plant-based. Now you can make all the dairy products you love—milks\, creams\, cheeses\, savory spreads\, and rich desserts—with nuts\, seeds\, and other plant-based ingredients instead of animal products. \nMiyoko has become a leader in the evolution of plant-based dairy\, and through her recipes and stunning photography you can learn how to craft beautiful vegan food for everyday life that will expand your palate and help save the planet. The Vegan Creamery is just the cookbook to guide you on your plant-based journey. \nWhere is the potluck?\nThis October is one of the few yearly potlucks held by the Club! The potluck will be in the CAA office at 34 13th Ave NE\, Ste 108\, Minneapolis\, MN 55413. Here are directions with additional details\, if needed\, on the CAA office. \nYou can bring a dish from the Vegan Recipe Club Archives\, from any online sources like Sweet Potato Soul or Nora Cooks\, or from your own kitchen! All dishes should be vegan — no meat\, dairy\, egg\, honey\, or any other animal-derived product (no gelatin\, whey\, etc). Please bring a list of ingredients so that everyone with allergies\, Celiac\, etc.\, can safely eat. \nIf you cannot make it in person\, you are welcome to join online for recipe discussion only. \n \nVegan Recipe Club General Details\nThe Vegan Recipe Club is for everyone—those curious about vegan cooking and those more experienced with it. The club explores plant-based recipes created by cooks of varying cultures and nationalities and cookbooks are suitable for the novice to experienced cook. \nThis club aims to feature recipes that are great tasting and support the health of participants. It’s a great way to explore great new recipes\, work out issues in different recipes\, and to build community with others interested in vegan cooking. Best of all\, these meals also help the animals and the environment! \nHow does it work?\nIn the month prior to the Vegan Recipe Club meeting\, you can download the recipes for free (link coming). You can also request the entire cookbook from your local library. Try making one or more of the recipes\, then come to share and discuss what you thought about them with the group. \nThe group is facilitated by volunteer Henry Patterson of Compassionate Action for Animals (CAA). If you have questions about the recipes or the Vegan Recipe Club between meetings\, email info@exploreveg.org. \nJoin us online!\nThe club meets monthly on the third Tuesday of each month at 6:30 pm. Meetings are held via Zoom — see details below. In July and October of 2026\, we will host an in-person potluck in conjunction with the meeting. It will be in our new CAA office space which is in Ste. 108 at 34 13th Ave. NE\, Minneapolis\, 55413. \nJoin Zoom Meeting\, with passcode 467109 \nOr use the dial-in information: Meeting ID: 815 7424 7392 Passcode: 467109 Dial by your location:   +1 301 715 8592 US (Washington DC)    +1 929 205 6099 US (New York)    +1 312 626 6799 US (Chicago)    +1 253 215 8782 US (Tacoma)   +1 346 248 7799 US (Houston)    +1 669 900 6833 US (San Jose)
