The launch of the caa.mn website marks an exciting new chapter in our efforts to advocate for animals. This website is strategically designed to:
- Increase Engagement: We want you to connect more deeply with our work. Explore our interactive resources and discover ways to get involved on our Take Action page.
- Educate and Inspire: Knowledge is power. Delve into our comprehensive content about animal agriculture and the benefits of veganism, designed to inspire you to learn and make Compassionate Choices on our blog.
- Enhance Visibility: The site is designed to drive traffic to key site sections and social media, fostering a broader community connection.
- Support Activism: For those ready to take a stand, our platform provides essential tools and information.
- Support Our Work: Your engagement and support directly fuel our mission. Visit the CAA Store on our new website to find merchandise that not only shows your commitment to animals but also directly supports our vital programs and outreach efforts.
A Collaborative Effort
This achievement wouldn’t have been possible without the dedication of numerous staff and volunteers:
- Initial Vision & Design: Staff member Emily Nyberg laid the groundwork. Staff members Stephanie Amundsen and Sara Olson built it. Executive Director Laura Matanah provided direction and support for the work.
- Website Redesign: Volunteer Dexter Thomas redesigned the Twin Cities Vegan Chef Challenge pages and took on the entire site redesign, leveraging his User Experience and User Interface (UX/UI) expertise.
- Back-End & Database: Volunteers Arthur Goldstein, Dustin Cahill, Yash Patel, Chris Krull, and Jesse Johnson tackled back-end and server issues. Jesse also spearheaded the move to Salesforce, streamlining exhibitor material tracking and volunteer registration. Desiree Wright continues to improve these processes.
- Technical Team: Volunteers Trent Nelson, Ryan Sauers, Jesse Johnson, and Adam Levy managed website integrations, configured the blog, and transferred the old site materials to the new site. Kelso Anderson provided the vision for the Protect Animals page. Last year’s Step Up interns, Treyanna and Tasniim, assisted in transferring blog post images from one site to the next, supervised and supported by Tamuno Imbu and Abbey Feola.
- Contractor Support: Dave Shishkoff from Vegan Hackvisits provided invaluable assistance in launching the site.
